We aren’t able to source certified organic Basil now, so we have switched our old Organic Basil Cashew cheese product across to our natural (not certified organic) black label range. The recipe is exactly the same except the ingredients are not certified organic now and the pricing is lower accordingly.
Fermentation creates lactic acid (and lots of probiotics), so the dips are naturally acidic and will keep for months in the fridge even after opening. Our Basil Dip is flavoured with real ingredients; basil, garlic, onion, turmeric and natural sea salt, giving it a delicious “basil/pesto” cheese flavour. It is the perfect, gut-loving swap for traditional dairy spreads.

Directions for Use:
- Spread & Layer: Use as a dairy-free spread on anything in place of butter, margarine, cream cheese, or traditional pesto. It is exceptional spread on toast or sushi and topped with sliced avocado and dill kraut.
- Dip & Platter: Serve chilled as a gourmet dip alongside fresh vegetable sticks, crusty bread, crackers, or crisps.
- Hot Dishes: Dollop on top of hot pizzas, roasted potatoes, or cooked meats. Or, stir it through freshly cooked hot pasta for a quick, creamy pesto sauce (turn off the heat first to protect the probiotics!).
- Dressings: Dilute a tablespoon of the dip with a tiny amount of water or olive oil to create a rich, herbal salad dressing.

- Storage Instructions: Must be kept refrigerated continuously. Always use a clean, dry utensil to scoop from the jar to prevent cross-contamination and ensure maximum longevity.
